CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Cross Country continues its 2026 season Friday, Sept. 18, at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. The men’s 8K will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the women’s 5K will begin shortly after at 9:10 a.m.
Last Time Out
- The Tigers are coming off of a strong showing at the USC Upstate Eye Opener, where the men finished first overall with 17 points and the women earned second with 52 points.
- Nancy Cherop clinched the individual victory in the 5K, running a meet record time of 16:24.60.
- Two other Tigers finished in the top ten, with Silvia Jelego (16:41.94) finishing second and Elizabeth Ilanda (17:53.22) taking seventh place.
- Brendan Gomez (24:54.1) finished second for the Tigers in the 8K, with Garrett Brown (25:07.9) close behind for the third-place finish.
- All of the competing Tigers placed in the top 15.
