CLEMSON, S.C. - The No. 24 Clemson Tigers’ underclassmen led the charge in the Tigers’ (1-1-2) dominant 5-0 victory against the Campbell Fighting Camels (1-2-1) on Sunday afternoon at Historic Riggs Field. In total, the Tigers had six freshmen and sophomores combine to tally at least one goal or assist alongside senior Dani Davis. As a team, the Tigers finished with 34 shots which were two shy of cracking the program’s single-game top five list.

"We played well," Said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. "We executed a lot of things that we talked about. To be fair, we played a good team. They've always given us a tough game- we showed them great respect by bringing our best out there. We didn't feel too good about the last game that we lost and we like to think that we'd come back with a little bit of motivation from that, that nasty taste in your mouth, so I think a little bit of that came into play as well."

Clemson applied pressure throughout the first half, outshooting Campbell 16-3, that included eight shots on goal. The Tigers put up four shots in the first six minutes of play that resulted in two corner kicks. On the second corner attempt, sophomore Natalie Brooks got her head on the ball sent across the field from Davis for the first goal of the 2026 campaign.

Clemson added its second goal with a breakaway that spanned the length of the field in the 34’ as sophomore Taylor Leib found the lower left corner with an assist from freshman Ella Bach. Bach and Leib continued their hot streaks as Bach scored her first collegiate goal in the 40’ with assists from both Leib and freshman Sadie Peterson to give the Tigers a 3-0 advantage after the first half.

Sophomore Maddie Castello scored the fourth goal of the match in the 67’ after she dribbled around a defender and used her left foot to find the top right corner of the net. The freshmen continued to power the Tigers as Reagan Spencer dribbled half the length of the field in the 73’ before cutting back and getting a right-footed shot into the net to make it 5-0, which held for the remainder of the game.

Graduate Nona Reason got her fourth start in goal on the year and recorded one save in the first half. Graduate Addy Holgorsen entered the match in the second half and played the final 45 minutes.
