CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Erik Bakich announced the newcomer class of 11 recent high school graduates, one junior college transfer and seven NCAA transfers on Friday. All 19 newcomers are eligible to wear a Tiger uniform starting in the 2027 season.
Three Tigers were rated among the trop transfers in the country by D1Baseball (using WAR from the 2026 season). Troy Sudbrook (Toledo) was rated the No. 2 overall transfer in the country and No. 1 third-baseman transfer in the nation. Sudbrook was also rated the No. 17 transfer hitter in the nation by D1Baseball. Jamie Daly (Davidson) was rated the No. 3 center-fielder transfer in the country. Isaac Cadena (Southern California) was rated the No. 6 catcher transfer in the nation. Cadena was also rated the No. 45 transfer hitter in the nation by D1Baseball.
Four Tiger signees were rated among the top-150 freshmen in the nation by D1Baseball, Ethan Offing (No. 52), Chase Kiker (No. 55), Louis Hernandez Jr. (No. 64) and Jaxon Matthews (No. 104). Three Tiger signees were rated among Perfect Game’s top-500 prospects (high school and college) for the 2026 MLB draft, Kiker (No. 152), Hernandez (No. 361) and Offing (No. 465).
Offing was drafted in the 18th round by the Boston Red Sox.
The full-team, fall-training season begins Sept. 18 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
