CLEMSON, S.C. – Graduate Goalkeeper Nona Reason was named ACC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week following the opening week of matches of the 2026 season in an announcement from the league office on Tuesday.
Reason received the honor after earning eight total saves and back-to-back shutouts across Clemson's opening two contests. She picked up four saves on the road against SEC opponent Auburn. The graduate notched four more in Sunday’s home opener against No. 17 Ohio State, including one in the ‘34 minute following a header attempt off of an Ohio State corner kick.
This marks the sixth and seventh solo shutouts of Reason’s career, and her fourth and fifth at Clemson. Her eight saves brought her to 89 on her career and a career save percentage of .748 (.750 at Clemson). Reason is the first Clemson player to receive a weekly award since Makenna Morris in October of 2023 and the first goalkeeper since Halle Mackiewicz won ACC Player of the Week in September of 2023.
The 2026 season is the first in which the ACC is recognizing “Goalkeeper of the Week” and “Freshman of the Week” honors for women’s soccer. These awards are given out in addition to “Offensive Player of the Week” and “Defensive Player of the Week”, which have been recognized as individual awards since 2015.
Reason and the Tigers return to the pitch on Thursday, August 20 in Columbia for the Palmetto Series matchup with South Carolina on SECN+.
