CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson softball head coach John Rittman announced the addition of Aby Vieira, KK Mathis and Bailey Victoria to the 2026-27 softball support staff.
Vieira returns to the Tigers in a full-time capacity as the Director of Operations after spending a year with the Arizona State softball program as a graduate assistant and completing her collegiate career in the Orange and Regalia in 2025. In her return, Vieira will oversee day-to-day logistics of the program, including travel, budgeting, event planning, recruiting, and other administrative duties. The ACC Champion catcher was a 2025 NFCA All-Region Second Team selection and an ACC All-Tournament Team honoree after posting a .337 average, .419 on-base percentage and .494 slugging percentage as a senior. Her 17 doubles that season still sits second on Clemson’s single-season records. Excelling both on and off the field, Vieira was a four-time ACC All-Academic and three-time NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete while leading Clemson to four postseason appearances, including two super regionals. She earned her undergraduate degree in business management from Clemson is 2025.
Mathis joins the Tigers as a Graduate Assistant after graduating from Duke this past spring with a degree in sociology. She spent her final two seasons with the Blue Devils as an infielder after starting her collegiate career at James Madison. The 2026 Third Team All-ACC selection maintained a .336 career average at the plate during her time at Duke and tallied 101 hits, including 18 doubles and 17 home runs. She strung together 72 RBIs with 45 runs scored. She garnered multiple NFCA All-Region honors during her career and was a TUCCI/NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 Finalist in 2023. Off the field, Mathis was a three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete, two-time CSC Academic All-District selection and two-time All-ACC Academic honoree. While at Clemson, she will pursue a degree in Athletic Leadership.
Victoria comes to Clemson as an Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning after previously serving in the same role at Florida State with the Seminoles softball and diving programs. While at FSU, Victoria developed an interactive Power Bi dashboard for teams and coaching staffs to visualize workload, wellness, performance trends, and KPI’s. She also served as an Associate Director of Institute of Science and Sport Medicine on research within Florida State Athletics. Currently, she also serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the Team Canada National Softball Team where she designs and implements comprehensive year-round programs to optimize athlete readiness for international competition and manages training periodization and international travel, tournaments and competition schedules to ensure athletes peak for major events while optimizing recovery. Prior to this, Victoria held roles at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She obtained her master’s degree in sports management from FSU in 2020 and her bachelor’s degree in health and fitness promotion from Luther College in 2018 where she was a four-year student-athlete with the Luther softball program.
