CLEMSON, S.C. – Thirteen Clemson softball players were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference office announced on Thursday. This tied the second-most softball players in Clemson’s seven-year history to earn All-ACC Academic honors in a single season with the 2024 year and trails only the 2023 squad (15).
Juniors Kylee Johnson and Julia Knowler garnered their third honors after making the team every year eligible. Senior Jamison Brockenbrough earned the honor both years eligible at Clemson and was joined by Kennedy Ariail, Macey Cintron, Marian Collins and Taylor Pipkins as a second-time selection. A total of five athletes garnered it for the first time (Sarah Breaux, Kiley Channell, Corri Hicks, Sam Minish, Mac Pavese and Sarah Rocheleau).
All-ACC Academic teams are composed of students with considerable academic and athletic achievements. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average throughout the duration of their academic career. Additionally, these student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests throughout the duration of the season.
