LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior Gladys Chepngetich punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a program-record 1:59.09 time in the women’s 800m, while Clemson finished with five individual and two relay qualifiers on the final day of competition at the NCAA East First Round. Senior Shantae Foreman (triple jump), senior Oneka Wilson (100m hurdles), junior Judy Kosgei (800m) and freshman Nancy Cherop (5000m) joined Chepngetich as individual qualifiers, while the squads of Aleksandra Stoilova, Aniyah Kitt, McKenzie Calloway and Briana Campbell, and Shanque Williams, Kitt, Brynn Buelow and Chepngetich qualified the 4x100 and 4x400 relays, respectively, for semifinals in Eugene.

The Tigers bookended the final day of regionals with the 4x100 meter relay team of Stoilova, Kitt, Calloway and Campbell punching their ticket to Eugene with a final time of 42.89 for a fifth overall finish. The relay team of Williams, Kitt, Buelow and Chepngetich concluded the day with a time of 3:30.61 in the 4x400 meter relay. The 2026 season marked the third-straight year that both relays have advanced to Eugene.

Joining the relays was Wilson who automatically qualified for the semifinals in the 100m hurdles with a final time of 12.88. She finished second in her heat and fifth overall to make her third trip to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the event after previously qualifying in both 2024 and 2025.

Clemson will have two individuals compete in the semifinals of the 800m at nationals after Chepngetich, the reigning indoor national champion, finished second in the field with her program-best time. The junior will be joined by Kosgei, who qualified for her first outdoor championships, with a final time of 2:01.16 to finish 10th in the field.

Foreman qualified for her second field event of the year with a final jump of 13.49m (44 feet 3 ¼ inches) in the triple jump. The senior finished third in the field to mark the third-straight year she has qualified in the event and joined her qualification from Thursday in the long jump as her second of the year.

Rounding out the individual qualifiers was Cherop in the 5000m. The freshman finished third in her heat, fourth overall, with a time of 15:31.22 to qualify for her first NCAA Outdoor Championships.

In total, Clemson will send seven individual qualifiers on the women’s side, which tied for the most since 2018. With qualifiers in the hammer throw, long jump, triple jump, 100m hurdles, 5,000m, two 800m entries, and both relay squads, Clemson's women have the potential to field nine point-scoring entries at the NCAA Outdoor Championships — the program's highest total since 2012.
