DURHAM, N.C. – Clemson delivered a slate of top‑10 finishes, event wins and personal records at the Duke Twilight on Sunday, highlighted by strong sprint performances and multiple all‑time program marks.
Ayomide Oyetunji led the Tigers with a victory in the men’s 100m, clocking 10.24 seconds, followed closely by Jalen Johnson in second at 10.26. Clemson added another event win in the men’s 110m hurdles, where Khailan Vitalis ran 13.90.
Briana Campbell turned in two top‑10 efforts on the women’s side, placing fifth in the 100m (11.33) and earning runner‑up honors in the 100m hurdles with a personal‑best 13.19. In the women’s 100m, Shantae Foreman finished sixth and Makhaila Mills took 10th.
Grant Holliday produced a pair of top‑five finishes, taking second in the men’s 400m (46.15) and fourth in the 200m with a personal‑best 21.23. Oyetunji (eighth) and Daniel Kidd (ninth) also secured top‑10 spots in the 200m. In the women’s 200m, Shanque Williams (23.56 PR) and McKenzie Calloway (23.61) placed seventh and eighth.
Sophia Curtis notched a personal record in the women’s 400m hurdles, finishing eighth in 58.67 seconds. In the women’s 5000m, Elizabeth Ilanda delivered one of the meet’s standout performances, placing eighth in 16:09.14 (a personal best that moved her to No. 5 on Clemson’s all‑time list).
In field events, Clemson added several more top‑10 finishes. Jacob Carruthers cleared 2.06m to take second in the men’s high jump, while Danielle Noble matched her personal best at 1.75m to finish second in the women’s high jump, remaining tied for sixth in program history.
Curtis earned another top result in the women’s triple jump, placing second with a personal‑best 12.69m. In the women’s long jump, Tia Stapleton (seventh) and Aiya Webb (eighth) both landed in the top 10.
The Tigers also posted two personal records in the men’s pole vault, with Drake Risser finishing eighth at 5.00m and Dillon Kaulback placing 14th at 4.70m. In the throws, Matthew Auble took fourth in the men’s hammer, while Kendra Dye (third) and Mary Ella Brooks (fifth) secured top‑five finishes in the women’s hammer. Kimeka Smith added a third‑place showing in the women’s shot put.
Clemson closed the night with another personal best on the track as Brendan Gomez ran 14:40.83 for 17th in the men’s 5000m.
