CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson University student-athletes maintained their exceptional academic performance, earning a record-tying 3.35 cumulative GPA in the Spring 2026 semester. This marks the 16th consecutive semester with a department GPA above a 3.00, dating to the Fall 2018 semester.
Women's Golf (3.81) led all programs with an outstanding academic performance, the second-highest team semester GPA ever, behind just its own 3.82 in the Fall 2025 semester. Gymnastics (3.73) set its highest mark in its eight semesters, and did so while winning the ACC Championship and reaching a Regional Final for the first time in program history.
Women’s Tennis (3.66) and Lacrosse (3.62) each also set program records while making the NCAA Tournament in the same semester. Rowing (3.59) also set a program record and Women’s Track and Field had its second-best showing ever with a 3.49, while also winning both ACC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
The Nieri Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center continues to maintain Clemson as one of the national leaders in academic success, with Clemson consistently ranking among the top Power Five institutions in GSR and APR.
Overall Academic Notes:
- Clemson's 474 undergraduate student-athletes earned a 3.32 GPA, while 40 graduate students earned a 3.66 GPA.
- A total of 407 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better (79.2% of all student-athletes).
- Eleven programs recorded a 3.30 or better, and nine were above a 3.40
Team Academic Notes:
- Women's Golf (3.81) achieved its second-best mark in program history.
- Women's Gymnastics (3.73) has been at a 3.50 or better in all eight semesters since beginning in Fall 2022.
- Football recorded a 3.11, its ninth consecutive semester at 3.00 or better dating to Spring 2022.
- Women's Soccer (3.65) extended its remarkable streak to 51 consecutive semesters at 3.0 or better (dating to Fall 2000) and has maintained a cumulative GPA above 3.55 for the past 14 consecutive semesters.
- Rowing has been above a 3.0 in 33 straight semesters and recorded its 55th 3.0 or better in 56 total semesters since joining in the Fall of 1998.
- Women’s Basketball recorded its eighth straight semester above a 3.25
