Nashville, Tenn. - No. 24 Clemson Women’s Tennis (19-9, 7-6 ACC) fell to No. 14 Vanderbilt (22-9, 9-6 SEC) 4-1 Saturday afternoon in Nashville.

The No. 57 ranked pair of Senior Jade Groen and Freshman Rinon Okuwaki were battling it out with the No. 7 ranked pair of Sophia Webster and Celia-Belle Mohr on court one but ultimately fell 6-3. On court three, The Buccaneers took the doubles point after a 6-2 win over the pair of Sophomores Artemis Aslanisvili and Sophie Clayton. At the time of the doubles point clinch, the pair of Senior Romana Cisovska and Sophomore Talia Neilson-Gatenby were down 5-4 to the No. 15 ranked pair of Valeria Ray and Bridget Stammel on court two.

Senior Jade Groen fell 6-3, 6-2 to Celia-Belle Mohr on court one to put Vanderbilt up 2-0. Aslanisvili brought the Tigers within one after a 6-3, 6-4 straight set win over Erin Pearce on court five. No. 33 ranked Valeria Ray took the match 6-2, 6-3 over Cisovska on court three to extend the Commodores lead to three. On court two, No. 69 ranked Okuwaki fought hard taking the first set to a tie break but ultimately fell 7-6 (8), 6-3 to No. 12 ranked Bridget Stammel. At the time of clinch Junior Ria Bhakta and Neilson-Gatenby abandoned their respective matches.
