CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, Mark Elliott, announced the signings of Matthew Sullivan, Curtis Coleman, Raheem Pinnock, Lailah Green, Shevaughn Thomas, Jakob Nützel and Kaden Stewart Tuesday afternoon.
MATTHEW SULLIVAN | 110M HURDLES | JAMAICA
Sullivan joins Clemson as one of the top junior college hurdlers in the nation after earning two NJCAA national runner-up finishes and competing as a Pan American U23 finalist. A native of Jamaica, Sullivan attended Vere Technical High School and Camperdown High School before continuing his collegiate career at Hinds Community College. He is currently undecided on a major. Sullivan is the son of Olga and Micheal Sullivan.
CURTIS COLEMAN | 60M, 100M & 200M | STATESBORO, GA.
Coleman arrives at Clemson after an All-American season at Hinds Community College. The Statesboro, Ga. native previously attended Southeast Bulloch High School and is pursuing a degree in kinesiology. Coleman is the son of Curtis Coleman Jr., who competed in track and field at Savannah State, and Cara Coleman. He will add depth and experience to Clemson’s sprint group across the 60m, 100m and 200m events.
RAHEEM PINNOCK | 60M, 100M & 200M | JAMAICA
Pinnock joins the Tigers as a four-time All-American sprinter specializing in the 60m, 100m and 200m events. Pinnock attended St. Jago High School in Jamaica before competing at Hinds Community College alongside Sullivan and Coleman. He plans to study business management at Clemson. Pinnock is the son of Sasha Cameron and Relley Pinnock and has two siblings, Rihanna Pinnock and Jody-Ann Mead.
LAILAH GREEN | 200M & 400M | LAWRENCEVILLE, GA.
Green comes to Clemson following a decorated prep career that included seven national championships and three Nike national titles. A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Green attended Archer High School and competed with the Jackrabbit Track Club. She helped her relay squad earn the 2024 Nike Outdoor 4x400m national record and capture the 2023 Adidas National 4x400m championship. Green served as team captain throughout all four years of high school and plans to study criminology and legal studies at Clemson. She is the daughter of Nekelah Green, a former Jackson State track and field athlete, and Lardester Green, who played football at Delta State.
SHEVAUGHN THOMAS | 400M, 400M Hurdles & 4x400M RELAY | JAMAICA
Thomas joins Clemson after a successful collegiate career at Life University and a standout tenure at Vere Technical High School in Jamaica. Thomas earned silver medals at both the 2025 CARIFTA Games and the 2020 Boys and Girls Championships in the 400m. She also captured conference titles in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay at the Southern States Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Thomas was a team captain at Vere Technical High School during the 2024-25 academic year and finished fifth individually and second in the 4x400m relay at the NAIA Indoor Championships. She intends to study food science and nutrition at Clemson. Thomas is the daughter of Karleen Ellis and Errol Thomas.
JAKOB NÜTZEL | DISCUS | NUREMBERG, GERMANY
Nützel arrives at Clemson after a record-setting career at Queens University of Charlotte, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management. Nützel holds the Queens school record in the discus with a throw of 57.69m and was the 2025 outdoor conference champion. A native of Nuremberg, Germany, he attended Maximilian Kolbe Schule and plans to pursue a Master of Arts in economics at Clemson. Nützel earned four ASUN Field Athlete of the Week honors, was a two-time ASUN All-Academic Team selection and claimed six Bavarian state championships during his career. Internationally, he competed for Germany at the U20 European Championships in Jerusalem, where he placed fifth, and finished runner-up at the 2022 U20 German National Championships. Nützel is the son of Heike and Wilfried Nützel and has one sister, Eva.
KADEN STEWART | 200M & 400M | HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.
Stewart joins the Tigers from Hilton Head Island High School, where he established himself as one of the top sprinters in South Carolina. Stewart is the school record holder in both the 200m and 400m and earned Sprint MVP honors in 2025. He also served as a team captain from 2024-26. Stewart plans to study computer science engineering at Clemson. He is the son of Sharon and Kevin Bohn and has one sibling, Reece Stewart.
