ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Clemson delivered another strong showing on day two of the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, advancing finalists across the sprints, hurdles and mid‑distance events while adding an ACC Champion and multiple all‑time program marks.

Clemson secured its first ACC champion of the meet as Brandon Pottinger cleared 2.15m to win the men’s high jump, matching his personal best. Teammates Jacob Carruthers and Shyhiem Scotland tied for third and fifth, respectively, each clearing 2.09m, with Carruthers’ mark standing as a personal best.

Shantae Foreman placed second in the women’s long jump with a season-best 6.59m (+2.1), good for a new all-conditions program record.

The Tigers had a standout performance in the men’s 110m hurdles, where both Sharvis Simmonds and Khailan Vitalis punched their tickets to the final with major personal bests. Simmonds ran 13.51 to place fourth, moving to No. 6 on Clemson’s all‑time list, while Vitalis followed in 13.64 to finish fifth and tie for 10th in program history.

Clemson’s women’s hurdlers matched that momentum. Oneka Wilson clocked 12.99 (+3.1) to take second in the 100m hurdles prelims, and Briana Campbell advanced as well with a 13.24 (+3.1) effort.

In the women’s 400m, Shanque Williams secured a finals berth with a smooth 53.12 to finish fourth overall.

The Tigers continued to surge in the short sprints, placing three men into the 100m final. Ian Johnson led the group with a 10.00 (+2.6), the second‑fastest all‑conditions mark in Clemson history. Jalen Johnson followed in 10.10 (+3.0) and Kevin Collins added a season‑best 10.18 (+2.6) to advance.

On the women’s side, Aniyah Kitt ran 11.13 to finish third in the 100m, while Foreman delivered a breakthrough 11.30 personal best to place eighth and move into a tie for seventh on Clemson’s all‑time list.

Clemson’s middle‑distance group added two more qualifiers in the women’s 800m. Gladys Chepngetich finished first in 2:02.62 and Judy Kosgei followed with a 2:03.34 to advance comfortably.

The Tigers also made noise in the field events with Kimeka Smith recording a personal best 16.91m in the women’s shot put, climbing to No. 2 on Clemson’s all‑time list and finishing fourth overall.
