CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson lacrosse placed a half dozen players on the 2026 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s (IWLCA) Division I South Region Teams, the organization announced Thursday.

Freshman midfielder Emma Penczek, freshman defender Teagan Scott and freshman attacker Alexa Spallina were selected to the First Team, while freshman midfielder Aubrie Eisfeld, senior defender Paris Masaracchia and junior attacker Natalie Shurtleff earned Second Team honors.

These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 21.

FRESHMAN MIDFIELD EMMA PENCZEK SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • IWLCA DI South Region First Team.
  • All-ACC Second Team.
  • USA Lacrosse Third Team All-American.
  • Ranked No. 6 on ILWomen’s Early-Season Freshman Impact Rankings.
  • Sixth-most assists in the ACC (30).
  • Sixth-highest caused turnovers per game in the ACC (1.86).
  • Eighth-highest ground balls per game in the ACC (2.14).
  • Eighth-most points in the ACC (63).

  • Fifth-highest caused turnovers per game (3.24, highest in the ACC).
  • Led the ACC with 2.76 ground balls per game.
  • Broke Clemson’s single-season caused turnover record with 68 (previously 58).
    • Obliterated Clemson’s freshman caused turnover record (previously 12).
  • Shattered Clemson’s freshman ground balls record with 58 (previously 25).
  • Scored two goals.

  • Third-highest assists per game (3.38, led ACC).
  • Fifth-most points in the nation (110, second-most in the ACC).
    • First Tiger in program history to reach 100 points in a season.
    • Shattered Clemson’s freshman points record (previously 61).
  • Second-highest points per game in the ACC (5.24).
  • Scored 39 goals.

  • Tenth-most goals in the ACC (43, tied for most on team).
  • Tallied 60 points.
  • Fourth-highest shot percentage total in the nation (0.597, led ACC).
  • Exceeded 100 career points against Vanderbilt (Feb. 7) and 100 career goals against Davidson (May 8), becoming the first Tiger to reach the century mark in both categories.

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation’s intercollegiate women’s lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
