Tallahassee, Fla. – Clemson women’s golf opened NCAA Regional play at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club on Monday. The Tigers (+3) are currently tied in seventh place with Kentucky (+3) after the first full day of action. Isabella Rawl (-3) is tied in second among all individuals at the conclusion of day one.

Florida leads the field with -5 under par. Florida St. and Wake Forest are knotted in a tie for second (-3). Eastern Michigan and ULM are both tied in fourth place after finishing the day at one-under par. UCLA (+2) rounds out the current top six squads at Tallahassee. The Tigers and Wildcats trail just behind, tied for seventh place.

ON THE SCORECARD

Isabella Rawl paced the Tigers, finishing three-under par and is tied in second among all individuals. Rawl notched five birdies and a pair of bogeys on the day.

Sarah Uebelhart finished the day one-over par, recording a pair of bogeys, an eagle on hole 14, along with a single birdie and double-bogey.

Sydney Roberts (+2) logged five bogeys and a trio of birdies. Ivy Schulze and Aitana Tuesta finished at +3 in the opening round.

THE NEXT ROUND

Clemson will be back in action tomorrow (Tuesday, May 12) for day two of the NCAA Regional. Pairings and tee times will be available here later this evening.

FORMAT

The 12-team field will play a 54-hole (18-holes per day) stroke play format across three days.

ADVANCING TO CALIFORNIA

The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total, one per regional) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.
