Chapel Hill, N.C. – No. 12/9 Clemson Lacrosse (15-6) fell to  No. 1/1 (2 Seed) North Carolina (17-1), 17-6,  in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Dorrance Field on Sunday Afternoon.

The Tigers saw five different scorers on the day; junior attacker Anna Brown led the charge with two goals. Freshman midfielder Emma Penczek, sophomore attacker Brooke Goldstein, junior midfielder Natalie Shurtleff, and freshman midfielder Aubrie Eisfeld each scored a single goal for Clemson.

  • Clemson now holds a record of 2-2 in NCAA Tournament games.
  • Goldstein (one goal) has exactly 125 career points.
  • Scott (one ground ball) has captured Clemson’s single-season ground ball record with 58 on the year.
  • Masaracchia (two caused turnovers) is the first performer in program history to reach 100 career caused turnovers.
