CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 34 Clemson (15-11, 7-5 ACC) continued its win streak, sweeping a doubleheader at Duckworth on Monday. The Tigers picked up an afternoon win against Gardner-Webb (13-4, 3-0 Big South), 4-1, and against Presbyterian (9-9, 0-2 Big South), 4-0, in the evening.
GARDNER-WEBB
The Tigers earned the doubles point in commanding fashion with victories on the first two courts. On court one, No. 25 Noa Vukadin / Viktor Markov defeated Cressoni / Schreiber, 6-2. Henrik Bladelius / Marko Mesarovic punctuated doubles play with a 6-3 win over Zeiger / Bergeron, sending Clemson to singles with a 1-0 lead.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs took the first singles point. On court five, Cressoni defeated Noah Lopez Cherubino in two sets. Vukadin made sure it would not stay tied for long. After a hard-fought 7-5 first set, Clemson’s No. 2 cruised to a 6-1 win in the second set to put the Tigers up 2-1. On court one, Markov won handily against Bergeron 6-1, 6-4 to put Clemson on the brink of victory. Mesarovic closed out the match for Clemson with a 7-6(5), 6-4 win on court three to give the Tigers their seventh consecutive victory.

- No. 54 Markov (CU) defeated Bergeron (GW), 6-1, 6-4.
- Vukadin (CU) defeated Zeiger (GW), 7-5, 6-1.
- Mesarovic (CU) defeated Screiber (GW), 7-6(5), 6-4.
- Bladelius (CU) led Van Wijk (GW), 6-3, 2-6, 4-1 ABD.
- Cressoni (GW) defeated Lopez Cherubino (CU), 6-3, 6-1.
- Nittmann (CU) led Bourne (GW) 7-6(8), 6-5, ABD.
PRESBYTERIAN
The Tigers earned yet another doubles point after the teams of Vukadin / Markov and Matisse Farzam / Nittmann each picked up victories. The former won dominantly, picking up a 6-1 victory on court one. The latter took the lead early and never looked back for a 6-3 win that clinched the doubles point in just half an hour.
Sophomore Nathan Pitts kicked off singles play by earning his first singles victory of the spring, sweeping Presbyterian’s Anderson in two sets, 6-0, 6-0. Vukadin put Clemson within one, losing just a single game en route to a two-set victory. Shortly after, Mesarovic sent the Tigers home with their eighth-straight victory with a 6-2, 6-2 sweep of Prasad. At the time of abandonment, all three other Tigers were ahead by a set.
