CLEMSON, S.C. – On Monday, Clemson men’s tennis (13-11, 7-5 ACC) looks to continue a six-game win streak against a pair of opponents from the Big South. Monday's match can be streamed on TrackTennis and will have live results updating through iOnCourt.

To open the day, Clemson will face off with Gardner-Webb (13-3, 3-0 Big South) at noon. The Runnin’ Bulldogs are riding an eight-match win streak including a sweep over UNC Asheville to clinch the Big South Regular Season Championship. At 5 p.m., Presbyterian (9-8, 0-2 Big South) comes to Duckworth. The Blue Hose make the short drive from Clinton, S.C. on a three-game skid, most recently losing to No. 21 Florida.

This is the eighth meeting all-time between Clemson and Gardner-Webb. The Tigers have never lost to the Runnin’ Bulldogs. The teams first clashed in 2003, a match that resulted in a 7-0 Clemson win. The most recent meeting between the teams came last March, with Clemson coming away with a 4-1 victory.

Monday’s second match will be the 53rd meeting between the Tigers and the Blue Hose, a series where Clemson holds a 39-14 all-time advantage. The first meeting between the teams happened almost 100 years ago that resulted in a 4-2 win for Clemson on April 22, 1926. Presbyterian went on a 10-game win streak from 1938-1961. The last Blue Hose win came in 1976 followed by Clemson winning the last 17 meetings with the most recent being a 6-1 win in 2018.

LAST TIME OUT

The Tigers picked up a hard-fought victory over No. 31 SMU. Clemson earned the doubles point with wins by the pairs of Noa Vukadin and Viktor Markov and Henrik Bladelius and Marko Mesarovic. In singles, Bladelius picked up the Tigers’ second point of the day before SMU came back and tied the match with two straight points. Noah Lopez Cherubino put Clemson on the brink of victory before Markov clinched the match with a three-set thriller against the top-ranked ITA singles player in the country, sending the Tigers home with a 4-2 win.
