TEXAS RELAYS RESULTS

AUSTIN, Texas – Clemson track & field wrapped up day one of the Texas Relays Thursday evening, highlighted by multiple qualifiers, podium finishes and two relay victories.

The women’s 4x100 meter relay team of Aleksandra Stoilova, Aniyah Kitt, McKenzie Calloway and Briana Campbell advanced with a third‑place finish in 43.80 seconds. On the men’s side, the 4x100 squad of Andre Hodge, Ian Johnson, Kevin Collins and Jalen Johnson qualified eighth in 39.43, while the 4x400 group of Grant Holliday, Collins, Ayomide Oyetunji and Daniel Kidd moved on with a sixth‑place time of 3:09.60.

Sharvis Simmonds ran 13.67 seconds to place fourth in the men’s 110 meter hurdles prelims, and Khailan Vitalis also advanced with a ninth‑place finish in 13.82 seconds. Kitt added another standout performance in the women’s 100 meters, clocking 11.16 seconds with a +2.7 m/s wind to finish fifth and qualify for finals.

Clemson also earned strong results in the field events. Jacob Carruthers cleared 2.08 meters in the men’s high jump to finish third, matching the height of both the event winner and runner‑up. In the women’s triple jump, Sophia Curtis placed third with a mark of 12.03 meters.

The Tigers closed the day with two relay victories. The women’s 1600 meter sprint medley relay team of Kitt, Shanque Williams, Gladys Chepngetich and Judy Kosgei won in 3:40.62, while the women’s distance medley relay squad of Kosgei, Brynn Buelow, Shaneal Clarke Giddings and Nancy Cherop claimed the title in 11:28.95.
