RALEIGH, N.C. - The Clemson Rowing program completed competition against 19 other programs at the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh. The Tigers competed 12 races over the two-day period, with each of the four boats competing three times.The 20-team field was composed of eight Atlantic Coast Conference teams and includes six CRCA ranked teams.
Clemson posted consistent results across all three rounds of racing, led by its 1V8, which finished fifth overall in each round of competition. The 1V8 placed third in its opening heat (6:27.750), second in Round 2 (6:28.140), and third in Round 3 (6:21.050), maintaining a steady position among the top crews in the field.
The Second Varsity Eight showed progression across rounds, finishing ninth overall in Round 1 (6:48.540) before improving to eighth in both Round 2 (6:44.250) and Round 3 (6:45.080).
In the fours, the 1V4 opened with a 10th-place finish in Round 1 (7:33.170), moved up to eighth in Round 2 (7:30.340), and finished 10th overall in Round 3 (7:28.890). The 2V4 recorded finishes of 13th (7:34.330), 18th (7:46.850), and 14th (7:35.420) across the three rounds.
Clemson now turns its attention to the ACC Championships, which will be held at the same venue on Lake Wheeler, on May 15-16.
