Freshman Standout Named to All-ACC Singles Third Team

CLEMSON, S.C.– Clemson Women’s Tennis freshman Rinon Okuwaki from Saitama, Japan has been named to the 2026 All-ACC Third Team for singles as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. This is the first all-conference selection for Okuwaki. 

The No. 72 ranked freshman is 17-4 in singles play and is 1-1 against nationally-ranked opponents and was one of two Tigers this season to hold an undefeated streak, Okuwaki held her streak until April 3rd. Okuwaki primarily competed on court two. Okuwaki earned ACC Freshman of the week twice during the regular season. The Tigers now have a total of 74 selections to the All-ACC team.

The No. 24 ranked Tigers finished the regular season 17-8 and 7-5 in conference play and are looking to make the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year. The 17 wins this season are the most in the Saia era. The selection show will take place on Monday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m. (ET), and anyone can tune in to NCAA.com to watch the selection show.
