TOM JONES MEMORIAL RESULTS | WAKE FOREST INVITE RESULTS
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Clemson wrapped up a jam-packed weekend at the Tom Jones Memorial and Wake Forest Invitational with a slate of standout performances, highlighted by a school record, multiple all‑time top‑10 marks and several event wins across both meets.
At the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla., Aniyah Kitt delivered the Tigers’ top performance of the weekend, breaking her own school record in the women’s 100m invite with an 11.11 finish. Clemson added three more all‑time marks on the track, including Shaneal Clarke Giddings’ time of 2:05.20 in the women’s 800m invite, which placed her No. 10 in program history. The women’s 4x100m relay of Aleksandra Stoilova, Kitt, McKenzie Calloway and Briana Campbell ran 43.28, the third‑fastest time in school history, while the women’s 4x400m relay of Brynn Buelow, Shanque Williams, Kitt and Gladys Chepngetich (who flew in from Winston-Salem) clocked 3:28.78, the No. 2 mark all‑time.
The Tigers also produced two top‑10 marks in the Tom Jones field events. Kendra Dye won the women’s hammer throw with a 61.95m effort, the fourth‑best mark in Clemson history, and Kimeka Smith added another No. 4 all‑time performance with a 16.54m throw in the women’s shot put. In the men’s pole vault, freshman Matthew Phillips cleared 5.05m to tie the Clemson freshman record and finish fourth overall.
Clemson’s sprinters and hurdlers also shined with Oneka Wilson’s fifth‑place 12.98 women’s 100m hurdles time in the invite final and Jalen Johnson’s 10.37 for fifth in the men’s 100m. The Tigers also earned a win in the men’s high jump, where Brandon Pottinger cleared 2.12m, and a third‑place finish from Shantae Foreman in the women’s triple jump invite at 13.80m. Victor Ndiwa and Gideon Kiplimo each finished with top‑five finishes in both the 800m and 1500m, while Clemson’s relay squads added top‑5 finishes in both the women’s 4x100m and women’s 4x400m.
