Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf begins postseason play this week at the 2026 ACC Women’s Golf Championship, held April 16–19 at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The championship opens with 54 holes of stroke play on Thursday and Friday, with the top six teams advancing to match play over the weekend. The top two teams after stroke play will receive byes into the semifinals, while teams seeded third through sixth will compete in quarterfinal matches Saturday morning.

ON THE SCORECARD

Clemson enters the ACC Championship ranked No. 45 nationally and seeded No. 10 in the 15-team field.

The Tigers wrap up the regular season with five top-five finishes and two team victories, showing consistency throughout the year. Clemson will look to build momentum in postseason play against one of the deepest conference fields in the country.

THE FIELD

The ACC Championship features a nationally elite lineup, including five teams ranked inside the top 25 in the latest national rankings:

No. 1 Stanford, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina and No. 17 Florida State headline the field.

Stanford enters as the tournament’s top seed, followed by Wake Forest, Duke and North Carolina, while Clemson is seeded 10th.

FORMAT

The championship begins with 36 holes of stroke play Thursday, followed by a final 18-hole round Friday. The top six teams will advance to match play:

  • No. 1 and No. 2 seeds receive byes to the semifinals
  • No. 3 vs. No. 6 and No. 4 vs. No. 5 compete Saturday morning
  • Semifinals take place Saturday afternoon
  • Championship match is set for Sunday at 9 a.m. ET

The semifinals and championship match will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The ACC Women’s Golf Championship annually features one of the strongest fields in collegiate golf, with multiple nationally ranked teams and players competing for the conference title.

The event also serves as a key postseason test ahead of NCAA Regional play, with 12 ACC programs earning NCAA Regional bids last season. Clemson will look to position itself for postseason success against one of the nation’s most competitive conference lineups.
