CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 11/11 Clemson Lacrosse (11-4, 4-3 ACC) dominated Davidson (9-3, 3-2 A10) 21-5 Tuesday evening at Conklin Field. The game was filled with broken records between the Tigers’ seventh-consecutive win (program record), along with Alexa Spallina’s historic 10 assists and 13 points. Clemson controlled all phases of the game, commanding a 11-2 lead in the first 30 minutes en route to a 21-5 victory.

As a team, Clemson had 16 assists which is good for a new record against all opponents at Conklin Field. Brooke Goldstein led the charge with five goals, two assists and three ground balls, while Spallina broke her own single-game points record (previously 10, Furman, 2/10/26) with 13. Ten of Spallina’s points came from assists, which broke another of her own Clemson records (previously seven, Queens, 2/17/26) in a dominant offensive showing. In addition to that, Spallina also set Clemson’s season record for both points and assists. Natalie Shurtleff contributed two goals, one ground ball and four draw controls and Emma Penczek finished with two goals, one assist, four ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control. Regan Byrne added four goals, with Kayla MacLeod, Teagan Scott, Jasmine Stanton, Marleigh O’Day and Aubrie Eisfeld each scoring once. Scott also tallied three ground balls and two caused turnovers, while Eisfeld added a draw control.

Kira Balis controlled the draw with 15, and Bridget Babcock recorded one assist, one ground ball, one caused turnover and one draw control. Camryn Pfundstein and Paris Masaracchia each caused turnovers with Pfundstein adding a ground ball. Mikaela Mooney dished out two assists, while Callie Roseberry secured a draw control. Carly Wise, Anna Brown and Kiera Schwartz each picked up a ground ball and Tessa DeLuca made two saves with Gigi Adamson and Ava DeLyra also seeing time in the cage.

POSTGAME INTERVIEWS

FIRST QUARTER | 4-1, CLEMSON

The Tigers dominated to open the game. Byrne fired first with her 20th goal of the season. Soon after Goldstein put another in the back of the net assisted by Spallina who set a new Clemson season record for assists in a season, which was also the freshman record (42, set by Goldstein in 2025). Not even a minute later, Eisfeld produced as well. Davidson retaliated with a goal by Jenna Skibbe but Clemson still led, 3-1. Shurtleff scored her first of the day with Spallina collecting another assist to close the quarter with a 4-1 lead. 

SECOND QUARTER | 11-2, CLEMSON

Clemson continued to control the pace in the second quarter with Byrne striking early with an assist from Spallina to push the lead to 5-1. Davidson responded by putting one in the back of the net from Allie Hartnett but Clemson took advantage with a free-position shot from Penczek scoring her 20th goal of the season, advancing the Tigers’ lead 6-2. Goldstein fired her second of the day, followed by Byrne with a first-half hat trick scoring her 80th career goal, making the score 8-2. Shurtleff netted her second of the day, followed by back-to-back goals from Spallina, who broke another Clemson record for most points in a season. The Tigers took total control in the first half ending the second quarter with a commanding 11-2 lead.

THIRD QUARTER | 15-4, CLEMSON

Davidson struck first to open up the third quarter but the Tigers countered with MacLeod scoring her first of the day. Goldstein then collected a hat trick herself to put Clemson up, 13-3. Devyn Martinez put one on the board for Davidson. Spallina scored her 30th goal of the season, followed by Goldstein to close out the quarter firmly in front, 15-4. 

FOURTH QUARTER | 21-5, CLEMSON

Starting the fourth quarter, Goldstein scored her fifth goal of the day, assisted by Spallina (11th point of the game). Byrne then scored her fourth goal of the day, followed by Scott, who netted her second goal of the season. Penczek got her second of the day, again assisted by Spallina, to put the Tigers out front, 19-4. O’Day came out firing, adding another to Clemson's score but Davidson struck back with a goal from Brooke Ross. With just over a minute left Stanton scored another, claiming a 21-5 triumph at Conklin Field.
