CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 10/10 Clemson Lacrosse (8-4, 3-3 ACC) rolled past Wofford (2-7) Monday night in a 22-3 fashion at Conklin Field, matching the seventh‑highest single‑game scoring total in program history and crossing the 1,000‑goal milestone along the way. The Tigers dominated every phase from the opening draw, using a 7–0 first‑quarter run to seize control and never allowing Wofford to generate sustained offense.

Clemson’s relentless pressure and depth defined the night. Kayla MacLeod scored four goals, while freshman standout Alexa Spallina added three goals and two assists to set the program’s freshman points record previously held by Brooke Goldstein (61, 2025). Emma Penczek scored twice, including the 1,000th goal in Clemson history, and Anna Brown delivered a four‑goal performance off the bench. Kira Balis registered 11 draw controls, becoming the first player in program history to surpass 200 in a career.

Clemson led 11–1 at halftime and continued to pull away with a balanced attack that saw 14 different players record at least one point. The Tigers’ ride disrupted Wofford throughout the night, and goalkeepers Tessa DeLuca, Gigi Adamson and Ava DeLyra combined to anchor a defensive effort that allowed just three goals. Clemson closed the game on a 6–0 fourth‑quarter run to secure one of its more lopsided wins of the season.

FIRST QUARTER | 7-1, CLEMSON

Wofford struck first but the Tigers answered quickly with back-to-back goals from MacLeod to take the lead. Clemson’s pressure in the midfield forced repeated Terrier turnovers and the Tigers converted them into transition opportunities. Penczek, Spallina, Jasmine Stanton, Regan Byrne, and Aubrie Eisfeld added goals as Clemson closed the quarter on a 7–0 run to lead 7–1.

SECOND QUARTER | 11-1, CLEMSON

Goldstein scored less than a minute into the second quarter to extend Clemson’s lead. The Tigers continued to disrupt Wofford’s clears and capitalized on the extra possessions, highlighted by Byrne’s free‑position goal. Penczek and MacLeod added late goals as the Tigers pushed the margin to 11–1 at halftime.

THIRD QUARTER | 16-3, CLEMSON

Spallina opened the second half with a quick goal to keep Clemson in control. Wofford answered with a woman‑up free‑position goal but the Tigers regained momentum behind strong defensive stands and efficient clears. Brown, MacLeod, Spallina and Eisfeld each scored as Clemson continued to dominate draws and possession. Wofford added a late free‑position goal, but Clemson carried a 16–3 lead into the fourth.

FOURTH QUARTER | 22-3, CLEMSON

Clemson’s depth took over in the final quarter, beginning with back‑to‑back goals from Brown off assists from Alex Scialdone. Ella Pauley and Tanner Scarola added goals as the Tigers continued to convert off clean clears and caused turnovers. Clemson maintained control throughout the frame, and Marleigh O’Day scored late to cap the Tigers’ offensive output. Clemson closed out a 22–3 win, controlling every major statistical category.
