CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 38 Clemson (8-11, 3-5 ACC) surged from a 3-2 deficit to defeat No. 51 Duke (8-10, 3-5 ACC), 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the Ambler Tennis Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Clemson jumped ahead early behind wins on doubles courts two and three. Henrik Bladelius and Marko Mesarovic earned the first result with a 6-3 victory over Duke’s Planelles and Truwit while Matisse Farzam and Yannic Nittmann clinched the point moments later, 6-4. On court one, No. 71 Viktor Markov and Noa Vukadin led No. 10 Williams and Rodenas 5-4 when play was halted.

Bladelius took the first singles point for Clemson after defeating Long, 7-6 (3), 6-1. Duke responded by taking the next three singles decisions. No. 95 Pedro Rodenas won over Vukadin with a 6-4, 6-4 victory, No. 56 Andrew Williams followed with a tight three-set victory over No. 53 Markov, 6-4, 4-6, 6-5 and Farzam fell in three sets on court three, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

Clemson battled back behind Noah Cherubino Lopez on court six, delivering a gritty 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 win over Truwit. Mesarovic secured the Tigers’ clinching point after outlasting Jayaraman 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-4 to pull the Tigers ahead, 4-3.
