The No. 25/RV Clemson Softball program travels to Notre Dame for its first ACC road series of the year
The Tigers are set to square off against the Fighting Irish for the second-ever time at Melissa Cook Stadium, the first coming during the 2024 season
Friday's series opener will mark the eighth time the two teams have met on the diamond after meeting for a home and away series in 2022 and 2024 and at a neutral site for the 2022 ACC Championships
The Tigers hold a 5-2 advantage in the series

Clemson takes a 20-9 (4-2 ACC) record into the weekend series and has outscored opponents 164-101
The Tigers have totaled 220 hits on the year with freshman Mac Pavese (.391 - 36 hits) and sophomore Marian Collins (.385 - 35 hits) leading the way
Pavese also leads Clemson with 26 RBIs, while Collins (24), Corri Hicks (23) and senior Jamison Brockenbrough (21) follow close behind

MAC ATTACK

Freshman Mac Pavese stepped on the collegiate scene with a splash during opening weekend
Pavese made her collegiate debut against No. 5 Oregon and started the come-from-behind rally with a solo home run in the outing
With the home run in her collegiate debut, she became the third freshman in as many years to hit a home run in their collegiate debut joining Julia Knowler (2024) and Macey Cintron (2025)
During opening weekend, she contributed six hits over four games (.429 average) and scored a team-high five runs
Continuing to push the envelope, Pavese stole two bases in the Liberty game that contributed to the then-program's then-single-game record with eight stolen bases
She capped her opening weekend with three hits and one run scored agaist Michigan State
Pavese has made a statement against top 25 opponents notching a two-run shot at No. 15 Georgia in the first innings
Following her contributions to upset wins against Georgia and No. 12 Mississippi State, Pavese became the first Tiger to earn ACC Freshman of the Week honors after the award began in 2026
Pavese powers the offense with 36 hits and is one of two Tigers with 10 or more multi-hit outings with a team-high 13
Contributing in any way possible, Pavese is on pace to crack Clemson's top-5 Freshman RBI list in the coming weeks, as she sits with 26 and McKenzie Clark holds the fifth spot with 29 (2021) and Alia Logoleo sits fourth with 32 (2021)
