CLEMSON, S.C. – The 14th-ranked Clemson Gymnastics program posted a season-best 197.175, the third-best team score in program history, on Friday night inside Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson (5-8, 196.644 NQS)  posted one of its most consistent all-around performances of the season, with 23 of 24 routines hitting for a 9.800 or higher and all four events at 49.225 or higher. BYU also notched their season high with a 197.225. 

Clemson honored its eight seniors, five of whom were part of Clemson’s “Team Zero,” spending ayear in residence at the beginning of the program. 

The Tigers earned event wins, with Tara Walsh (9.900) claiming vault for the seventh time this season, Quinn Kuhl (9.900) winning bars for the second time this season and Brie Clark taking her ninth floor title of the season with a 9.950. Ella Cesario added a 39.450, her second-best all-around of the season.

Vault: 49.225 - t-2nd in school history, t-season-high

Clemson opened the meet on vault and turned in a strong rotation with a 49.225. Brie Clark led off with a 9.825 before Paige Anastasi added a 9.800 in the second position. Madison Minner and Maggie Holman followed with matching 9.825s to keep the Tigers on pace early in the meet. Ella Cesario posted a 9.850 in the fifth spot before Tara Walsh anchored the lineup with a 9.900 to share the event title and push Clemson to its first rotation total of the night.

Bars: 49.250 - t-7th in school history, 5th-best of season

The Tigers moved to uneven bars and posted a 49.250, one of their best bars totals of the season. Lilly Lippeatt opened the rotation with a 9.825, while Hannah Clark followed with a 9.800. Emma Malewski delivered a strong routine in the third spot with a 9.850 before Cesario added a 9.875 in the fourth position. Trinity Brown contributed a 9.750 before Quinn Kuhl anchored the rotation with a 9.900 to claim the event title and help Clemson reach a 98.475 running total at the halfway point. Additionally, Eve Jackson tallied a 9.925 in the exhibition spot 

Beam: 49.250 - 7th in school history, 4th-best of season

On balance beam, Clemson again recorded a 49.250 to keep the meet tight entering the final rotation. Lippeatt set the tone in the leadoff spot with a 9.900. Clark followed with a 9.800 before Malewski delivered another strong performance with a 9.875. Cesario added a 9.850 in the fourth position, while Quinn Kuhl and Tara Walsh closed the rotation with scores of 9.800 and 9.825, respectively, giving Clemson a three-rotation total of 147.725.

Floor: 49.450 - 7th in school history, 2nd-best of season

Clemson saved its strongest rotation for last on floor exercise, posting a 49.450. Lippeatt opened the rotation with a 9.875 and Maggie Holman matched that score in the second position. Molly Arnold followed with a 9.825 before Walsh delivered another 9.875 in the fourth spot. Cesario added a 9.875 in the fifth position before Clark closed the meet with a 9.950 to capture the event title and secure Clemson’s final team total of 197.175.

Up Next: Clemson travels to the ACC Championships in Greensboro, N.C. at First Horizon Coliseum. The Tigers are likely to participate in the 7 p.m. quad meet.
