CLEMSON, S.C. – Romain Gales reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Singles Tournament. Stationed at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, Gales competed Tuesday, Nov. 18 through Thursday, Nov. 20.
Gales’ round of 16 finish earned him All-American status, making him the 18th Tiger to earn the honor in singles and the first to do so since Clement Reix in 2006.

Tuesday, Nov. 18 | Main Draw Singles – Round of 64
- Gales defeated No. 2 seed Duncan Chan (TCU) 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-6(10).
Wednesday, Nov. 19 | Main Draw Singles – Round of 32
- Gales defeated Benito Sanchez Martinez (Mississippi State) 6-3, 7-6(4).
Thursday, Nov. 20 | Main Draw Singles – Round of 16
- Gales lost to Michael Zheng (Columbia) 6-3, 6-2.
