WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEK
– Clemson attempting to improve to 36-9 in games following a loss in Dabo Swinney’s head coaching tenure.
– Clemson attempting to improve to 6-1 in ACC play. It would mark Clemson’s 27th season in school history with six or more ACC wins, and it would be Clemson’s 14th such season in the last 16 years.
– Clemson attempting to improve to 24-12-1 all-time against Virginia Tech.
– Clemson attempting to win a seventh consecutive game against Virginia Tech, dating to the 2011 season when the Tigers defeated the Hokies twice. It would be Clemson’s longest streak in the series since winning nine consecutive games against the Hokies from 1955-85.
– Clemson making its first trip to Virginia Tech since the pandemic-impacted 2020 season and its first to a fully charged Lane Stadium atmosphere since 2017.
