SUNSET, S.C. – The Clemson women’s golf team shot a team score of 316 in the second round and now sit in a tie for seventh place among 18 teams in the Clemson Invitational on the par-72, 6,386-yard course at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The wind was a major factor Saturday, as no team shot better than eight-over-par and only three individuals in the 101-player field broke par. The 34th-ranked Tigers are ahead of six ranked teams entering the final round.
Annabelle Pancake’s 76 (+4) led the Tigers individually, and she sits in a tie for 15th among 101 players. Katherine Schuster posted a 78, an improvement of ten shots from her first round. Callista Rice and Savannah Grewal each posted an nine-over-par 81, while Melena Barrientos shot an 82.
Individually, Lindsay May shot one-under 35 on the front on the way to a 75 (+3). Gabriella Tomanka finished +5 (77) and sits in a tie for 28th while Gracyn Burgess (97th) round out the Tigers’ participants.
Kentucky leads all teams at +17, while Annabell Fuller (Florida) and Brooke Biermann (Michigan State) lead individually at -1.
