Tallahassee, Fla. – Clemson women’s golf finished +12 on day one of the Florida State Matchup and sits in a tie for 5th place. The Tigers combined to shoot 300 as a team on Friday. Florida State and Virginia Tech are pacing the field, both teams shooting even par in round one.

“[We had] lots of solid golf shots today, but left too many out there,” said head coach Kelley Hester. “Overall, good team effort.”

Callista Rice and Melena Barrientos each finished +2 (74) to lead the Tigers through the first round and sit in a tie for 14th, while Lindsay May shot a 75 (+3). May finished the front nine at -1, while Rice shot an even 36. 

Clemson returns to the course on Saturday, with Annabelle Pancake teeing off first at 8:40 a.m.
