Women's Tennis Adds Former Tiger Nathan Thompson as Volunteer Assistant Coach
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson Women’s Tennis Program announced the addition of Nathan Thompson to the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach. Thompson will join Head Coach Christy Lynch and assistant coach Amy Sargeant in leading the Tigers.
Thompson was a member of Clemson’s men’s tennis team from 2001-05, and was named to the All-ACC First Team in 2003, 2004 and 2005. He was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American in 2004 and earned ACC Player of the Year honors in 2005. As a part of the team from 2001-05, he led the Tigers to the 2004 Men’s Tennis NCAA Elite Eight, and was an NCAA Individual Semi-Finalist in 2004.
Prior to joining Lynch’s staff, Thompson served as the Head Coach of the Southern Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams from 2017-21.
