CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson University student-athletes earned a 3.15 cumulative GPA in the Spring 2021 semester, the sixth consecutive semester greater than 3.0, and the third-highest ever. A remarkable 296 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better, and 73 individuals earned a 4.0. Eleven programs earned a cumulative 3.0 or better, with all eight women’s programs earning marks of 3.11 or higher.
Clemson’s NCAA Quarterfinal women’s soccer program had a 3.60, the program’s 42nd-consecutive semester above a 3.0, the longest streak in the department. The softball program registered a 3.42 GPA while earning an ACC Regular-Season Championship. The ACC Champion men’s golf program earned a 3.19 while earning a No. 1 seed in an NCAA Regional.
The women’s tennis team set a program record with a 3.65 mark, the highest of all programs in the spring. The ACC Champion men’s soccer program, which advanced to the Sweet 16, earned a 3.38, its 14th consecutive semester above a 3.0.
Rowing had its 23rd consecutive semester above a 3.0, and has registered a 3.0 or better in 45-of-46 semesters since joining in Fall 1998.
