Clemson men’s soccer was well represented across the landscape of professional soccer with another excellent showing this past week.
MLS Recap
Tommy McNamara earned the start and a full 90 minutes with the New England Revolution as they played to a 0-0 result with Nashville SC. McNamara logged one shot and contributed two corner kicks in the match.
Amadou Dia earned the start with Sporting KC along the team’s backline and registered a full match as his side was victorious over the Houston Dynamo via a 2-1 result.
Andrew Tarbell entered the match for the Columbus Crew in the 72nd minute of his side’s 2-2 draw with FC Dallas on Saturday. This was Tarbell’s first action since Aug. 24 in his side’s match against NYCFC.

Joe Bendik was on the bench for the Philadelphia Union as his side fell to Toronto FC over the weekend.
USL Championship
Phanuel Kavita played a full match as captain of Saint Louis FC as his side earned a thrilling 2-1 victory over Indy Eleven on Saturday evening. Kavita contributed two tackles and two clearances while passing with 90% accuracy throughout the match. Following the match, Saint Louis FC qualified for the USL Championship playoffs!

Cody Mizell earned another shutout with New Mexico United while wearing the captain’s armband during his side’s 1-0 victory over Real Monarchs SLC. Mizell made one save during the match.
Patrick Bunk-Andersen played a full 90 minutes along the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ backline during his side’s 2-1 victory over Philadelphia Union II.
USL League One
Paul Clowes and the Greenville Triumph just can’t be stopped. Clowes and the Triumph won their fifth-consecutive match and clinched a spot in the USL League One Championship following a 2-0 victory over Orlando City B. Clowes played the opening 84 minutes in the match and made sizable contributions on both sides of the ball.
