Career development within Clemson Athletics is an integral part of the journey each student-athlete embarks on during their time at Clemson University. As a department, the focus of programming is to enhance the career readiness of student-athletes through a curriculum centered upon personal and professional development. This development is achieved by providing work experience, consistent mentorship and building a plan that supports each student-athlete’s career plans.
Beyond The Game
Beyond The Game is a semester-long program that is a partnership with Clemson University’s UPIC office and Clemson Student-Athlete Development to place Clemson student-athletes in internship positions within Clemson Athletics and other University departments. In addition to working within a department, interns will participate in a structured, cohort-based, professional development curriculum. This curriculum will focus on building one’s professional competence with the purpose of creating prepared professionals upon program completion.
