Clemson S.C. – The Tiger men’s tennis team announced their 2019-20 schedule on Monday. Under the direction of first-year Head Coach Rob Weiss, Clemson looks to begin a new chapter in its decorated history.

Clemson faces a tough schedule in which it is set to compete against eight 2019 NCAA Tournament teams, including reigning national champion Wake Forest and final four competitor North Carolina. In total, the Tigers will face 14 of the ITA’s top-75 programs from a season ago including three top-10 squads.

We are excited to announce our upcoming 2019-20 Fall and Spring Schedule,” stated Weiss. “Playing in the ACC is a privilege and we are excited to have our hard work pay off this season as we compete against some of the best programs in the country. Our guys have been working incredibly hard and they are all really excited to get started with competition. It is a very challenging schedule but one the team and coaching staff are very excited about. We look forward to a very successful year.

Fall Schedule

The Tigers begin the fall schedule at the Mercer Invitational on September 19th. Following its weekend stint in Macon, Georgia, Clemson will compete at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens. Clemson will go on to compete in 11 total tournaments in the fall, including the South Carolina Collegiate Championships, All-American Championships, Georgia Tech Invitational, ITA Regionals, and Wake Forest Invitational in addition to two ITF Futures events.

Clemson opens up its spring campaign with an 11-match home stand beginning on January 18th against Furman and Wofford. The Tigers will enjoy home court advantage in the majority of their matches as they are scheduled to host 15 of their 24 contests at home this spring.

In Palmetto Series action, Clemson plays host to in-state rival No. 19 South Carolina on February 14th. The Tigers will also compete against No. 65 Georgia State and No. 63 Florida Atlantic University on February 9th and 23rd, respectively.

The Tigers will navigate a tough conference schedule that features 11 of the ITA’s top-75 teams and will open ACC play when they host Miami on February 21st. In addition, the Tigers will travel to No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 7 North Carolina, No. 45 Georgia Tech, No. 53 Duke, and No. 61 Louisville. Clemson will face five conference opponents at home, including No. 5 Virginia, No. 26 Florida State, No. 29 Notre Dame, No. 51 Virginia Tech and Boston College.
