Clemson, SC—Larry Penley’s Clemson golf team will compete in a match play tournament for the first time in 12 years when the Tigers participate in the Jack Nicklaus Collegiate Invitational at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
Clemson is one of eight teams competing in the event that will be played at the site of the PGA Tour’s Memorial Tournament. The Tigers will be joined by Florida State, Stanford, Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Ken State and host Ohio State.
Each team will play three matches over October 8-9. The Tigers open with Ohio State on Monday.
Each team will have six players competing in each match. The Tigers lineup will include Bryson Nimmer, Turk Pettit, William Nottingham, Kyle Cottam, Zack Gordon and Coleman Self.
