Clemson Notes:
- Clemson ranks third in the ACC in three-point field goal percentage defense (.269), fourth in the league in field goal percentage defense (.355) and sixth in blocks per game (4.6).
- Friday’s game marks the Tigers’ second consecutive contest away from home and sixth game of the season on the road.
- Clemson recorded season-highs in points (71), points in the paint (42), bench points (20) and field goals made (26) on Sunday in a win over Tennessee Tech.
- Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging a team-best 13.8 points per game and has scored in double-figures five of the six games she has appeared in.
- Freshman Danielle Edwards ranks fifth in the ACC in scoring amongst freshmen at 11.9 points per game.
- Edwards scored a career-high 23 points vs. Oregon on November 24, the most points scored by a Clemson freshman in the Audra Smith era and highest scoring total by a Tiger so far this season.
- Edwards is one of five ACC players to record three double-doubles this season and one of 17 to score 20+ in two or more games.
- Sophomore Victoria Cardaci has knocked down 23 three-pointers through ten games. She is averaging 2.3 three-point makes per game, good for sixth in the ACC.
Opponent & Series Notes:
- Friday’s matchup with Maine marks only the third game in school history between the Tigers and the Black Bears. The series is tied at one win apiece.
- Clemson and Maine last met on Nov. 9, 2007, a game that Clemson won 72-59 in Littlejohn Coliseum.
- Maine is 8-4 so far this season, with key wins over LSU, Harvard and Dartmouth.
- The Black Bears have already played an ACC foe this season, falling to Boston College 55-48 on Nov. 15 in Chestnut Hill, MA.
