CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson volleyball team welcomes Maryland and Boston College to Jervey Gym for a pair of matches this weekend. The Tigers and Terrapins play at 7:00 pm on Friday night, in the annual Dig Pink breast cancer awareness match. Clemson will then take on Boston College on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.

- Friday night will mark Clemson’s Dig Pink match. It is the fifth straight season that Clemson will participate, and the Tigers are hoping to raise more than $4,000 this season.
- Clemson is 33-27 all-time against the Terrapins, who are currently 14-7 and 5-4 in the ACC, and coming off a win over #22 Florida State
- The Tigers have won eight straight in the series, dating back to a four-set loss in 2005
- Last year in Clemson, the Tigers took advantage of 11 service errors, while allowing no aces to win, 3-0. Natalie Patzin led Clemson with 10 kills. In College Park, Clemson hit .326 and had 11 blocks in a 3-0 win. Sandra Adeleye had 13 kills and six blocks in the win.
- Maryland is the top serving team in the conference, averaging 1.42 aces per set.

Dig Pink Information:
Fans have several options to participate in this year’s event. Dig Pink T-Shirts will be sold at all home volleyball matches for ten dollars, with all proceeds from the sales of the t-shirts going to the Side-Out Foundation. Zeta Tau Alpha will also be selling shirts from Oct. 18-22 on the library bridge. Fans can also make a flat donation.
A new way the team will be raising funds is by auctioning off the pink jerseys they wear that night. Fans will be able to bid for the jerseys via a silent auction at the Promotions Table. Donations can also be made online. All funds raised will be donated to the Side-Out Foundation.
