Graham Finishes Sixth to Conclude Nationals

AUSTIN, Texas. — Lashanna Graham was the lone competitor for Clemson on the final day of the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She ran a personal best 55.59 in the 400 meter hurdles to set the No. 2 time in school history and finish sixth nationally. Her performance earned her first team All-America honors and gave the Clemson women three points to finish in a tie for 52nd place overall.

SATURDAY RESULTS

  • Lashanna Graham’s 55.59 in the 400 meter hurdles was a personal best and good for sixth place. She earned first team All-America honors and now holds the No. 2 time in school history in the event.
  • The women finished in a tie for 52nd place overall with three points.

FRIDAY RESULTS

  • Giano Roberts set the school record in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 13.31 to finish fifth overall. He earned his third consecutive first team All-America recognition in the event. He won the 60 meter hurdles in the 2023 indoor season and is a two-time outdoor All-American in 2023 as a member of the 4×100 meter relay that finished 11th overall on Wednesday.
  • The 4×400 meter relay of Wanya McCoy, D’Andre Anderson, Aman Thornton and Tarees Rhoden had a miscue in the second handoff of the baton and did not finish the race.
  • The men finished in a tie for 47th place overall with four points.

THURSDAY RESULTS

  • Marie Forbes threw 63.62 meters in the hammer throw to finish 14th overall. She earned second team All-America honors. It is her first outdoor All-America nod, as she was a first team All-American in the weight throw this indoor season.
  • Lashanna Graham ran a personal best 56.02 in the 400 meter hurdles to finish second in her heat and earn automatic qualification for finals. She will compete for the National Championship on Saturday at 10:27 p.m.

WEDNESDAY RESULTS

  • The men’s 4×400 meter relay of Wanya McCoy, Aman Thornton, D’Andre Anderson and Tarees Rhoden closed the day out with a bang, setting the school and ACC record in the 4×400 meter relay. They will compete for the National Championship at 11:21 p.m.
  • Giano Roberts ran a personal best 13.35 in the 110 meter hurdles to advance to finals in the event. That time is No. 2 in school history, just .04 seconds off Duane Ross’s school record. He will compete for the National Championship at 9:42 p.m. on Friday.
  • The men’s 4×100 meter relay of Giano Roberts, Cameron Rose, Guinove Joanus and Wanya McCoy earned second team All-America honors by finishing 11th overall with a time of 38.72.
  • Ethan Cocco threw 65.49 meters in the javelin throw to finish 21st overall. He garnered honorable mention All-America honors.
  • Cameron Rose finished 17th overall with a time of 20.51 in the 200 meter dash. He is an honorable mention for All-America honors.
