My Story Matters

Each person has a story. For members of the LGBTQ+ community, these are often referred to as “Coming Out Stories.” As members of the Clemson Family, we know our voices are loud. But when it comes to speaking up as a member of a marginalized population, sometimes those voices aren’t heard. Clemson Athletics teamed up with Clemson Athlete Ally to provide LGBTQ+ athletes and athletic staff with a platform to have their stories heard. Being able to amplify voices is a huge step towards equality for the LGBTQ+ community. During NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Week, we will celebrate what makes us unique: having PRIDE as a Clemson Tiger. Each person was given a chance to share, and confidently say “My Story Matters.”
