CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers (6-0) are set to host Northwestern (2-4) and UNC Asheville (3-0) on Sunday, February 9 at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility for their second home doubleheader this season. The match against the Wildcats is slated for 11 a.m. ET and the match over the Bulldogs is set for 5 p.m. ET.
The Tigers are coming off a massive, ranked victory over No. 17 South Carolina as Clemson swept the Gamecocks, 7-0 to earn their first sweep over the in-state rival since 1995. The match was also Clemson’s first win over South Carolina since 2014. The Tigers have successfully secured back-to-back ranked wins as they also defeated then-No.16 Michigan State on February 2.
Northwestern enters the match with a recent 2-5 loss to Vanderbilt while UNC Asheville is coming off a 4-3 victory over Tusculum.
For the match over the Bulldogs, the Tigers are celebrating National Pizza Day and Super Bowl Sunday by giving away pizza to fans.
