CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Audra Smith added a sixth member to the 2015 freshman class, signing Morgan Roos to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Roos, a 6-3 forward/center from Castle Pines, Colo., joins Taylor Brown (Paterson, N.J.), Sirah Diarra (Longueuil, Quebec), Danielle Edwards (Perry Hall, Md.), Keniece Purvis (Greensboro, N.C.) and Aliyah Collier (Augusta, Ga.).
“We are very fortunate to add Morgan to the Clemson family,” said Smith. “She comes from a great basketball family, and is a wonderful young woman, on and off the court. At 6-3, her size has the potential to impact us right away, and we look forward to her getting to campus.”
Roos, whose mother Kimberly played at the University of Iowa, attended Rock Canyon High School, graduating in 2014. Roos was a three-star prospect coming out of high school, and was listed as the 66th-best post prospect in the nation according to ESPN. Roos averaged 12.3 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game and 3.5 blocks per game as a senior. She totaled nine double-doubles and a triple-double (12 points, 15 rebounds, 12 blocks) throughout the season.
Roos enrolls at Clemson in June to begin preseason workouts.
