Clemson, S.C. — The Tigers men’s tennis team is set to open their fall schedule on Friday at the Mercer Invitational. The trip marks the beginning of a new era for Tigers men’s tennis as Head Coach Robbie Weiss takes the reigns for the first time at Clemson. Competition is set to take place from Friday, September 20th to Sunday September 22nd and will be played at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center in Macon, Georgia.
Four Tigers will head down to the Peach State including seniors Carlos Kelaidis and Pierre-Louis Dodens and sophomores Mike Agee and Jacob Jahn. While in Macon, Clemson will have the opportunity to face opponents from Alabama State, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Mercer, Kennesaw State, UNC Wilmington, Stetson, Troy and Winthrop. As a team, the Tigers are a combined 6-2 all-time against its competition in Macon with its only losses coming against Mercer. Clemson men’s tennis has never competed against Alabama State, Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State or Stetson as a team in its history.
