Men’s Tennis Defeats UNLV in Corpus Christi Classic

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Clemson defeated UNLV 4-3, and lost to Texas Tech 4-3 in the opening matches of the Corpus Christi Men’s Tennis Classic here Friday night.

Clemson has a 5-3 record overall and will continue play Saturday and Sunday in the tournament.

Luis Garcia was the only Tiger to win both of his singles matches in the two contests. Garcia defeated Gregor Skorin of UNLV 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 at number five singles. He also defeated Dustin Hawk of Texas Tech in staight sets 6-4, 6-4 at number five singles.
