KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Clemson men’s soccer team has been named a recipient of United Soccer Coaches’ 2019-2020 Team Academic Award as announced earlier today by the organization. This is the fifth time in the past six years that the team has been named recipients of the award, along with it being the ninth time in program history. The award is presented annually to teams with a cumulative GPA above 3.00.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, the Tigers earned a 3.11 GPA in the fall semester, while setting a new team record GPA of 3.56 during the spring. Clemson’s men’s team is joined once again by the women’s soccer program.
Clemson is one of seven men’s soccer programs in the ACC to earn the award in 2020.
