Men’s Soccer Dominates Elon, 7-1

CLEMSON, S.C. – Wojtek Krakowiak scored four goals in leading second-ranked Clemson to a 7-1 win over Elon at Clemson, SC Wednesday night.

Clemson is ranked second in both the Soccer America and NSCAA polls. The Tigers improve their record to 16-1 overall, while Elon Falls to 5-11-1 overall. The Tigers have won 11 straight games.

Clemson’s 16-1 record is the best result after 17 games since the 1985 Tiger team went 16-0-1 after the first 17 games.

Krakowiak now has 23 goals this season. The 23 goals is the most scored by a Clemson player since Wolde Harris scored 26 goals in 1994. Krakowiak’s 23 goals also is the sixth most in a single season by a Clemson player in the school’s history.

Clemson will play at Maryland, Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Tigers’ next action. Krakowiak is averaging 1.4 goals per game this season.
