Men’s Soccer Adds Three to 2020 Recruiting Class

CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Mike Noonan and the Clemson men’s soccer team have officially announced the addition of three new players to the program’s 2020 recruiting class. Ousmane Sylla, Hamady Diop and Tyler Hutchinson will join an incoming recruiting class that looks to add to the storied success of the program. With the addition of Sylla, Diop and Hutchinson, the 2020 Clemson Tigers roster will now feature a total of ten new players. Ousmane Sylla • Midfielder

Montverde, Fla. – Montverde Academy

Ousmane Sylla will come to Clemson following his prep career at Montverde Academy and his club career with the Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA). Sylla, originally from Senegal, will add to the depth which the Tigers will return amongst its midfield group. Sylla put together an impressive string of performances during the final season of his prep career, highlighted by scoring the first goal for his side in a match against the FC Dallas academy team.

 

Hamady Diop • Defender

Montverde, Fla. – Montverde Academy

Hamady Diop is set to join the Clemson men’s soccer team after a successful career at Montverde Academy and as a part of the Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA). Diop, a native of Senegal, will look to slot in amongst the defensive unit for Clemson. Diop, who served as a captain for his SIMA side, has had the opportunity to train and play with Orlando City SC and has contributed to the club’s first team over the past 18 months.

 

Tyler Hutchinson • Forward/Midfielder

Cliffside Park, N.J. – Barca Residency Academy

Tyler Hutchinson will join the Clemson men’s soccer team after spending time in the Barca Residency Academy based in Casa Grande, Ariz. Hutchinson is a versatile left-footed midfielder who has a combination of skills that will make him a strong addition to Clemson’s quality midfield group. Hutchinson is a native of Cliffside Park, N.J., and played his early soccer as a member of Washington United and Next Gen USA. As a part of the Barca Residency Academy, Hutchinson has attended classes at the Arizona State University Preparatory Academy.
