Men’s Basketball Hosts Wofford on Sunday

Clemson, S.C.–Clemson will play its second men’s basketball game in three days at Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday at 4 p.m. when the Tigers host Wofford College.

Clemson (1-0) is coming off a season opening win over East Tennessee State, 77-47, on Friday night. The Tigers were led by sophomore guard Will Solomon who finished the contest with a game high 21 points. Junior Adam Allenspach contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, while senior Andrius Jurkunas netted 13 points.

The Tigers held ETSU to 34.5 percent shooting from the field and 18.2 percent on three point attempts. The Buccaneers did not have any players score in double figures in Friday’s game.

Wofford (0-1) lost its opening game of the 1999-2000 season on Friday night in Columbia to South Carolina by the score of 76-62. The Terriers led the Gamecocks at halftime, 35-34, and shot 54.2 percent from the field including 6-of-9 on 3-pointers during the game’s first 20 minutes.

News
