Clemson Volleyball Hosts Duke in Jervey Gym

Clemson, S.C – The Clemson Volleyball team will host Duke in Jervey Gym for a Friday night match with a 7 p.m. scheduled start. This match is slated to broadcast on ACCN+. 

The Blue Devils are coming into match 11-6, with a recent loss to Florida State.  The Tigers and Blue Devils have met 65 times, most recently in 2019, where Duke secured a 3-2 victory. With that win, the Blue Devils lead the overall series 41-24. Senior Libero Mackenzie Cole leads the Blue Devils with 4.32 digs per set on 255 total digs. Ade Owokoniran adds 3.23 kills per set. Duke leads the conference in service aces with 1.68 aces per set. 

Clemson enters the competition with an 11-7 overall record after a recent loss to No.16 Georgia Tech in three sets. Graduate Transfer outside hitter Kaylee Martin continues to set the offensive tone with a team-high 3.27 kills per set and 203 total kills, followed by sophomore outside hitter Camryn Hannah’s 3.13 kills. Martin has scored at least ten kills in 12 matches, while Camryn Hannah has reached the same milestone in 10 matches. On the defensive end, freshman Libero Devan Taylor maintains her dominance on the court, tallying 4.16 digs per set on 262 digs this season. Taylor ranks 18th among NCAA freshmen in Digs per set and holds the 3rd spot in the ACC. The Tigers’ offense features four players with 100-plus kills on the season in Martin, Hannah, Cate Long, and Ani Clark.

All matches in Jervey Gym are free and open to the public. Face coverings are required according to the mask mandate on Clemson’s campus within indoor spaces.
